Next Generation Auto has become the premier choice for auto repair for vehicle owners in and around the Baldwin and Hudson areas. Not only have clients taken notice of the abilities of our first-rate auto mechanics, but customers also appreciate that Next Generation Auto has made such a commitment to the community in which they work and live. Here are some of the programs that we are involved with.

Turkey drive

Next Generation Auto's Annual Turkey Drive begins every mid-October and runs through the Friday before Thanksgiving. Continuing the tradition of passing down the value of giving, Next Generation Auto donates a portion of the proceeds from every service and repair completed during this period to purchase turkeys and all the fixings. Donations are made to the local food pantries in Hudson and Baldwin on the Saturday before the holiday --- just in time for families in need to pick up their Thanksgiving dinners.

Deserving Rides

Next Generation Deserving Rides was started in 2014 by automotive shop owners Jeremy Austrum and Shawn Kline. They are grateful for the communities in which they live and work, and they believe in passing down the value of giving.

“Western Wisconsin communities are incredibly generous. Volunteerism and service to others are key reasons why our communities continue to thrive. Deserving Rides is a good way to give back to our community. This is just another way to give to someone who truly deserves it and who could really use a good running vehicle.” Shawn Kline

The Next Generation Auto Team- along with their local partners Tri Star Engines, Wynveen Auto Body, and Westconsin Credit Union - understand the importance of giving back to their community by recognizing those who give back every day.

Every year, the Next Generation Deserving Rides awards a vehicle that has been reconditioned to drive and look like new to a worthy and deserving person from the community. The Next Generation Auto Family of owners and employees donate their time and labor to “Rebuilding Rides, to Rebuild lives.”

To submit a nomination, please mail to or drop off at Next Generation Auto. Next Generation Auto selects the winner from the entries received. The winner exhibits a strong commitment to the community, gives selflessly to help others, and demonstrates personal humility, kindness, and compassion. The refurbished vehicle is be given away to the winner on a Saturday in June at Next Generation Auto, 910 Hillcrest Street in Baldwin, Wisconsin. Do you know of someone in our community who deserves a working car?

Toys for Tots

Next Generation Auto is your place to drop off any new unwrapped toy in the box for Toys for Tots. Drop off a toy and receive a $10 off coupon for any service or repair at Next Generation Auto.

Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The mission of the program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The goal is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens.

Wheels, Wine and Women

We enjoy educating our customer base and have fun while doing it. At this event, we mingle and have snacks, wine, cheeses, and meats. Then we take the participants into the shop to do a car clinic for women. We show them how to jumpstart a battery correctly, check tire pressure and tread depth, check oil and fluid levels, and how to remove a flat tire and replace with the spare.
